Wow...that was enlightening...

OK...I just talked to Anne and Brian.  The consenus is that the drive we have
on hodge should be punted completely.

Brian Suggested using the internal RS6K drive....which is what he thought we
were using...

Can somoene volunteer to do a test and see if our other tapes can be read on it
(keeping in mind that our other tapes might be bad) ? 

The understanding here is that exabyte makes the drives in the RS6K and IBM
made some modifications in blocksize and so that you can boot from tape, and
that there should be an option in everyones favorite program, smit, to play
with these parameters.
