I don't know, really.  I was just making a guess because most of the
readonly volumes date to last Monday.

I've done the latter.  The file /var/usr/local/sync/release.excludes may
contain a list of volumes, one per line, which are not to be released by
the script; I've made project.sipb one of them.  This isn't fancy.  Any
more customizability it 

Perhaps project and user should be added to the release.excludes file.
Judgement call.  I wouldn't object.
