It turns out that rosebud doesn't like the /etc/passwd line

   nobody:!:4294967294:4294967294::/:

or the /etc/group line

   nobody:!:4294967294:nobody

Presumably this is just a gratuitous AIX 3.{1,2} incompatibility, or
something like that (i.e., these used to be ok).

Does anyone know whether (a) rosebud's original AIX 3.2 passwd and
group files were saved anywhere, (b) they are available via AFS (I
checked /afs/athena/system/rs_aix32/srvd.7{4,5,6}/etc), or (c) there's
another AIX 3.2 machine around with these files unmodified?

Matt

P.S., for the record...

3001-025 The file /usr/sbin/tsm has the wrong file group.
3001-633 Invalid or missing GID on password line
         nobody:!:4294967294:4294967294::/:.
3001-642 The user name nobody appears in /etc/security/passwd
         but not in /etc/passwd.
3001-646 The user name nobody appears in /etc/security/user
         but not in /etc/passwd.
3001-652 Invalid or missing GID on group line
         nobody:!:4294967294:nobody.
3001-656 The group name nobody appears in /etc/security/group
         but not in /etc/group.
