I restored a number of the previous rosebud configurations by looking at
the root partition backup we made and at the information in
/afs/sipb/project/rosebud. I have updated /afs/sipb/project/rosebud with
the new configuration files. People who have accounts should be able to
log in.
Other administrators should check to see that I have restored everything
important. If there is anything missing, get it from /vicepc/root.tar.gz
on rosebud. If there is nothing left to extract, remove:
rosebud:/vicepc/root.tar.gz
ronald-ann:/vicepb/rosebud.root.tar.gz
ronald-ann:/vicepb/rosebud.usr-local-afs.tar.gz
to free up another 30 meg or so in the cell.
The files I restored are:
/etc/security/*
/etc/athena/attach.conf (disallows NFS attaches; is this fixed yet?)
/etc/athena/rc.conf (AUTOUPDATE set to false)
/etc/passwd
/etc/group
/usr/vice/etc/SuidCells{,.local} (allows athena.mit.edu suid; is this needed?)
I think this covers the important customizations.
