First off, welcome to rumor@mit.edu. For those of you that have never
been on rumor before, it is a mailing list traditionally used by long
Assassin games to communicate with all the players involved. We (the
Bourbon Street GMs) will use it to send announcements, but ask that
you (the players) please refrain from posting to rumor, and instead
send all questions, flames, etc. to rome@mit.edu.

Now, the interesting info:

-----------------------------------------

Rules Seminar and Packet Handout:

The rules seminar will be on Thursday, October 5th, in 6-120. New
players should show up at 7pm; experienced players should show up at
8pm. Packets will be given out at 9pm. IMPORTANT: If you don't warn
us ahead of time that you are going to miss packet handout, we will
give your packet to someone on the waiting list if you don't pick it
up. Please don't screw things up by punting on us without telling
us...

(BTW, our waiting list is very short, so if you know someone who wants
to play, tell them to send in an app -- they might well get in.)

Rules should go online sometime this week; we'll send an announcement
when they do.

-----------------------------------------

Game Action Start:

Game action will begin at 6pm, Friday October 6th. There will
probably be a formal-dress event that evening. More information will
be forthcoming on this soon.

-----------------------------------------

Chili Dinner:

At 5pm on Saturday, Oct. 7, there will be a chili-and-crackers dinner
as part of an in-game-event. Players, waitlisters, etc., are all
invited to come and eat, PROVIDED they fill out the form that will be
coming along momentarily.

-----------------------------------------

Keep watching this space for more useful information, and thanks for
playing -- we hope you enjoy the game!
