Hello. Stage is over, but there is one last piece of email to be sent,
and to be read. First of all, we would like to thank everyone for a
wonderful game. The GMs all really enjoyed themselves, and we hope you
did too. Second of all, if you haven't already, please return your
physreps, and especially the spiffy badge-holders, to the guild office via one
route or another. Third, we took down the most amazing number of cool
quotes during the game. I intend to gradually put them on-line in
/mit/nightowl/Public/Stage/quotes
Give me some time, but eventually they *will* show up there.
Fourth: the awards. We wanted to give many more awards than we did, but
we had only a limited amount of time to come up with them before wrap-up.
Therefore, there are lots of neat things that happened that didn't get
acknowledged. We apologize. Those of you who were at wrap-up have already
heard these, but for those of you who weren't:
The Fords (including Dedfield and Richmond): Most Hosed Family
The Falconbridges: Most Dysfunctional Family
To the Actors we give:
a Tony Award!
Joe Boerges:
The Bad Timing Award
Dave Cho:
The "Wrong Time, Wrong Plot" Award
Jamie Morris:
The Jamie Morris Memorial "Is Sarcasm a Sin?" Award
(for the most incredibly random GM question...)
Raj Shah:
The Raj Shah "I Was Really Only a Bandit!" Award
(for being accused of being in almost every group in game!)
Richard Dansky:
The Richard Dansky Stand-Up Comic Award
(we find this one to be self-evident....!)
Jeremy Brown:
The Jeremy Brown "I'll Read It Later" Award
(for successfully hiding his illiteracy...)
Ellen Kranzer:
The Ellen Kranzer "It Ain't Over Till It's Over" Award
(for, until just before the end, never *actually* saying
that she agreed to end the feud)
Rob Ringrose:
The Rob Ringrose "Clandestine Monk of Choice" Award
(For performing so many secret marriages!)
To Everyone in the Coven:
Snatching Defeat from the Jaws of Victory
(For succeeding in most of their goals, but subsequently
deciding to initiate the one person who wanted to screw
them over the most, and ending up barbecued.)
Leah Schechter:
Snatching Defeat from the Jaws of Victory
(for having everything go almost *perfectly* up until the
last night of game, when she found out her new husband was
a polygamist and she got turned in as a witch.)
Leah Schechter/Sara Verrilli/Bink Tait:
The "Men are Pond-Scum" Award
(These, the three female characters who had, perhaps, the
most reason pre-game to not like men, ended up as Vencenzio's
three wives)
Jay Muchnij/Nathan Williams:
The Jay and Nathan "Womanizer Against His Will" Award
(For getting seduced over and over again by various
characters, as "safe" targets for seduction)
Sherrian Lea:
The Sherrian Lea memorial "Abbot Season" Award
(For allowing the abbot to eat the poisoned food she'd
intended for Thomas Stanley because if she didn't let him
have any, it would look suspicious.)
Nathan Sanders:
The Paula Nancy Millstone Jennings Bad Poetry Award
(For writing the worst in-game poetry we've ever heard!
"What rhymes with syphilis?")
Seth McGinnis and Dan Winship:
The "Keebler Elves Gone Bad" Random Mischief above and beyond
the Call of Sanity Award
(For (somewhat unintentionally) causing so much trouble that
even the GMs' heads hurt.)
Mike Person:
The Mike Person "I-played-this-town-like-a-grand-piano-and-now-
I'm-going-to-Disneyland" Award
(for marrying three women over the course of one week, getting
everyone to help him in various ways, and then escaping to Padua
after paying a peasant to go to the inn and buy a round of drinks
for a toast to him, "Three Times the Man of any in England" (or
something like that))
And, last but CERTAINLY not least:
For the entire game:
The Laurence Olivier Excellence in Acting Award for roleplaying above
and beyond the call of duty, and in the process making the GMs very
very glad that they wrote this game!
(we started out assigning this award individually, until we
discovered that we wanted to give it to almost everyone...)
