Except in the case of the pthreads mailing list, which is apparently
administered in an excessively laissez-faire manner. I have been
trying to unsubscribe for about 2 years, and I still get periodic
pthreads mails. I have been on probably 50 mailing lists in my time,
and I have never been foiled so completely in my attempts to leave
one.
I have yet to resort to sending unsubscribe requests to the list
(though if it helps, please consider this one!).
