Amoebae don't eat reed @i[Seratia marcesans]. But if you mutate it so
that it's white, the amoebae love it.

Fungi make mycotoxins to avoid being eaten by animals. Studies have
shown that there are four ways an animal reacts to fungi it wants to
eat:
1) smell the food and reject it (don't eat it)
2) taste the food and reject it
3) eat the food and get sick; avoid it in the future
4) eat the food and die; avoid it in the future
