Hi. let me take them one by one:
1) the only important documentations for installation are in
/afs/sipb/doc/netbsd/. There's how to "INSTALL" netbsd, and how to
add the athena stuff on top.
2) Yes. I'm running it on the Diamond Stealth 64 - 2mb vram myself :-)
you need to use the S3 server
3) If you want to do that, you should install netbsd as normal, and
then put /usr/X11 and /usr/athena local (just copy the stuff, they are by default
symlinks into /afs/sipb/system/i386_nbsd1/)
make sure when you copy to keep stuff like setuid if necessary. this shouldn't
be hard.
4) Under NetBSD, there is no DOS stuff, but yes, you can get LanWP from
your resnet representative.
finally, make sure your HD and Network card are supported.
If you need any help, feel free to ask (may I suggest that
if you run netbsd-athena, you add yourself to the netbsd-announce mailing
list).
thanks
