Hello,
I recently purchased a Pentium PC and I wish to install
NetBSD and XFree863.1.1. I have been reading the varius groups in
netnews which deal with this subject, however I did want some
additional information.
1. I've gotten a number of HOWTO, FAQ, and installation notes,
however, I'd appreciate if you could give a complete list of the
locations and filenames of the most recent and important files
describing the installation of netBSD on a PC.
2. Does the most recent version of XFree86 have the driver for
the Diamond Stealth 64 2MB VRAM video card? If not where can I
find one?
3. If I wish to install the source and binaries for netbsd
and XFree86 onto my PC
such that it can function as a isolated machine, what do I need
to do differently than what is done for netbsd-athena operation?
4. Are there utilities for MS-DOS for ftp and telnet
available?
Thank you in advance for you help.
