ok, so i've recently figured out that it's a new PC, but an old ethernet
card, and so it's NOT Pnp... so that isn't the problem
one interesting thing is that even though com2 is disabled in bios,
netbsd is still recognizing it... and since it's at the same irq as the
ethernet card, i'd think that may be what's causing my problems

also in bios, there's a thing that says:
IRQn available to: foo
for each irq
foo was originally "PCI/PnP" for all irq's, but i changed it to
"ISA/EISA" for all of them, since the ethernet card is EISA

but it still doesn't work
any ideas???
