we have a pentium PC with a (most likely) Plug n Play ethernet card
Linux boot disk says the card (an NE2000) is at IRQ 3, addr 300
ghudson was nice enuf to compile a NetBSD kernel for those specs, it
seems to find the card:
ed2 at isa0 port 0x300-0x31f irq 3: address 00:c0:a8:34:75:11, type
NE2000 (16-bit)
but then it just hangs
i don't seem to have the dos driver floppies for the card, so linux boot
disk is my only guide to it's specs (that's why i don't know if it's PnP
or not)
once netbsd said something about the card being at 0x310, yet the kernel is
configured for 0x300... and then it hung... so i figure that may be
evidence of PnP... but it doesn't always say that
irq 3 is com2, so we disabled com2 in bios, but no luck
i also removed the sound and modem cards... just in case they're messing
things up
any ideas???
