Hi, I'm using XFree86 3.1.2D beta with the athena distribution
of netbsd. The athena programs like zephyrs require 6.0 versions
of the x libraries, while a lot of the x-windows require 6.1
versions. The ldconfig program doesn't work very well because
it only points to the highest version of the libraries. I've
checked the ldconfig command and it is installed properly.
I found that I could hack the system and use the
setenv LD_LIBRARY_PATH /usr/X11R6/lib and it works. But
it doesn't work all the time, such as in tcsh and the like because
its a setenv variable, etc... Is there a real, more permenant
solution to this?
Thanks...
Eric
