I think I misconfigured the 3c509 devices in the new-drivers. I
believe I've fixed the problem; please try again. (Look for a line at
boot time beginning with "ep1 at..."; if it's there, then the kernel
recognized your card.)
(The disk images and kernels are in
/mit/netbsd/dev/machine-specific/new-drivers/README, in case you don't
still have that path handy.)
