Hi there..
We haven't actually made a proper install procedure for 1.1 yet
(classes are rather hoseful), but should get around to it soon.
However, seeing as you have installed 1.1, I can only presume that
you took the trouble to go through the standard install procedure, and
am not really sure where you go most (if any) of the athena utilities.
We don't actually reccomend you do it this way (that method is the way
most people install Linux, and that's partly why linux-athena is such a pain
to deal with). Instead, we tell people to install by using one of
our own install floppies, which will untar everything, plus make
all the correct symlinks, and set up stuff like AFS, and other related
goodies all for you.
did you use this? or did you just get the tar files from somewhere?
If you got them off the net, instead of through our install procedure,
I suppose we could try and track down why you're experiencing these
problems, but It's more than likely that there will be a lot of differences,
and you will need to then install lots of other things yourself anyway.
I guess what I'm sugeesting is that you try to re-install using the
nfsaha or nfsbt floppies, which will save you time in the long run.
if you'd rather not, then at least tell me which Xserver you're running,
and what XFree release you've grabbed..
