talk and console output problems

Hi there. I'm having some problems with my default NFS installation.
I can't get console output in xterms even when using xterm -C, and I
can't figure out how to get xconsole to work either. Additionally,
my outgoing talk requests always show up as originating from root@fooworld
even though I'm not logged on as root (as efoo). Could there be a bug in
the talk program or daemon? Thanks in advance.
