installing NetBSD on a Mac 68k is very much a supported move; one can visit
http://www.netbsd.org for instructions on how to do so. i've tried and
failed many times now on my SE/30, and succeeded on my dead IIvx (R.I.P.).
i think the SE/30 issue was a ROM quirk; i don't know for sure.
NetBSD _Athena_ is another thing entirely. as far as i know, jweiss is
the only person ever to have a quasi-Athenaized Mac 68k. i once wanted
to do this to the IIvx. it died before i had the chance.
jweiss used NetBSD 1.1 as a starting point, and then added other goodies
like 8k pagesize AFS. i don't know much else; good luck, though.
