I wrote yesterday concerning a system that refuses to let athena users
login. It returns the error "Permission denied while attaching
Homedir." Upon the suggestion of an athena consultant, I checked the
permissions on attach and login. Both are suid root. I also obtained
new copies of the programs from the sipb locker. The problem remains.
I examined the login.c file. The problem seems to come from a line
which reads
code = ALgetHomedir(&session)
A non zero error is returned, which causes an error to be printed. I
haven't yet examined the ALgetHomedir (I can't find it yet) to further
trace the problem.
