ANNOUNCEMENT: Red Hat Linux + Shadow passwords !!!
We are pleased to announce the public availability of a set of
sources/patches and RPM/SRPM sets to seamlessly enable shadow passwords
on Red Hat Commercial Linux, and other Linux distributions.
We have compiled the latest and greatest versions of many applications
that require password authentication, and made them completely compatible
with shadow passwords. They are also 100 % compatible with standard
passwords. These packages are designed to be used on shadow or
non-shadow systems.
These packages are also fully md5 password capable, allowing transfer of
password files from *BSD, and other UNIXes.
These files, while definately not ALL applications, are a good number of
them. We are always looking for new releases, and new versions.
These packages are available at
http://www.broadwaynet.com/~shadow
or
ftp://ftp.broadwaynet.com/pub/shadow
Please use them and test them, and notify us of any problems. There is
also a RedHat+shadow-HOWTO in the docs/ directory, please read it for
more information and instructions.
We can be reached at shadow@broadwaynet.com.
