I've been considering (I've mentioned it to Olaf) starting work on a
"Linux Security FAQ."  Part of it would list past problems, etc., as
well as pointers to various different security-related resources.  It's
not yet started though; I don't have the time to do it myself, so I'm
looking for people willing to put some time in and contribute
information on various topics, as well as suggest what topics should be
covered.

linux.nrao.edu's FTP server could be a drop-off point for this--I can
add a branch to the incoming area for security stuff if people want to
contribute.
