Date: Sat, 11 Mar 1995 19:44:22 -0500 From: Jeff Uphoff <juphoff@tarsier.cv.nrao.edu> To: linux-security@tarsier.cv.nrao.edu In-Reply-To: Your message of Sat, March 11, 1995 18:37:04 -0500 Reply-To: linux-security@tarsier.cv.nrao.edu I have just verified that Olaf's patches to the NFS server also work fine using the libc-based setfsuid() and setfsgid() calls (he provided an assembly-based set of these calls in his patch for those not running bleeding-edge libc's). I used the ELF gcc-2.6.4-950218 and libc-4.6.29 for this...a.out should be fine too then, I expect (though have not verified). Quick note (so people don't think that I've gone daft): My last post mentioned my adding a proper entry to the fstab to set NFS access--I of course meant /etc/exports. That was an eyes-glazed-over-from-hacking typo... --Up. -- Jeff Uphoff - systems/network admin. | juphoff@nrao.edu National Radio Astronomy Observatory | jeff.uphoff@linux.org Charlottesville, VA, USA | http://linux.nrao.edu/~juphoff/
