No stock version of 'amd' (that I've seen, at least) automatically times
out local (device) filesystem mounts; once you automount a device--as
opposed to an NFS--filesystem, it stays mounted, and you're forced to do
an 'amq -u' on it as root to force a timeout/unmount. That, or to make
'amq' suid root (possibly restricting its execution to a "trusted" set
of users). No bets on the suid-safety of 'amq' here though....
Has anyone written patches to the 'amd' suite to (optionally) change
this behavior?
