I have purchased an SCSI kit containing a BusLogic FlashPoint LT adapter
(PCI) and a Seatech ST5108N 1 GigaByte internal SCSI-disc.

Booting my Linux 2.0.22 kernel leads to time out errors during the loca-
tion of the disc. The values of all parameters are at zero (channel, lun
etc.) I do not know if that is correct, or if the detection of the disc
took
place with the wrong parameters.

What I do not understand is the fact that the host adapter is located
accor-
ding to the configuration log at SCSI ID 12, although the AutoSCSI bios
program has found it on ID 7, which is the right one following the
manuals.

Does anybody have experience with this combination of SCSI adapter, disc
and kernel version?

Can anyone explain the reason for detection of the host adapter at ID 12
instead of 7?

Thanks in advance for your answers...

Johan Blom
