I don't believe the terminator can actually drive term power. The terminator
does not physically have a power source. Most likely the controllers are the
only ones driving term power so most likely this is not causing your problems.
Just a thought though. If the drive is driving term power (even if others
are as well) then losing power on the drive could cause a fluctuation in the
current. "I feel a shift in the force Luke..." Even a slight fluctuation can
cause problems.
I think some active terminators have an LED to show term power. Make sure
there is no fluctuation when the drive is powered down.
