Actually Francisco, it appears that MY results were the ones
that were abnormal.  Aparently the disk caching gave improper
numbers for the test, I've been told by a factor of about three
or more.  So the highest theoretical throughput would be 10MB/sec, 
and that shouldn't even happen in reality.
