That looks _very_ good... what it doesn't is mine:
/dev/sda:
Timing buffered disk reads: 16 MB in 7.47 seconds = 2.14 MB/sec
:-o Isn't that abnormal? I'm using that HD to master CD
images to later burn CDs with no problems, but those are a very poor
results...
My System is a iDX4-100 w/ 28 Mb RAM, 2 IDE HDs (on IDE 0),
NCR53c815 (same as 810, but with its own BIOS), Quantum FireBall 1.2 Gb
HD, well, these are the SCSI devices as recognised using the ncr53c8xx
driver:
-----------
ncr53c8xx : at PCI bus 0, device 11, function 0
ncr_attach: unit=0 chip=815 base=f0800000, io_port=6000, irq=11

ncr53c815-0: initial value of SCNTL3 = 03, final = 13
ncr53c815-0: requesting shared irq 11 (dev_id=0xc08068)
ncr53c815-0: restart (scsi reset).

and that's what the 53c7,8xx driver says:

Both gave me that similar poor results. I also have a sound card,
a Startech 2 serial/1 parallel fast port controller and a qic-80 Jumbo
350 streamer.
Please, _please_, any help or info to improve this will be so
appreciated.
I'm running 2.0.24, (libc 5.2.18) and all scsi related kernel
support is compiled as modules.
I think I've provided enough data, if more is needed, don't
hesitate to ask me for...
Thanks in advance.
