Now, the hardware/firmware I have, lets me configure upto 64K
sector_size.  

Do newer versions of kernel address sector_size > 4K issue?  
If not, will that require lot of work or localized changes?

[In 2.2.14 sd.c printks unsupported size and puts the capacity to 0.]
