Hi,
We will be constructing a cluster of PPro's with Linux to perform
parallel processing experiments. One of the bottlenecks will be file I/O,
so we were thinking of installing one or two RAID stacks using DPT
controllers.
Networking will be done using Myrinet, Fast Ethernet and ATM, so speed
should be no problem in that respect.
I have read the faqs, and I have tried to find some info at i-connect and
at DPT, but so far I have had no luck.
The question is this:
Is it still necessary to configure a DPT RAID card from DOS, or are there
utilities available to do this from Linux?
It seems a bit silly to have to use DOS to do this:-)
Thanks,
Frits
