I am a LINUX newbe installing LINUX from the LINUX Universe CD-ROM.
Installation was proceeding smoothly with the small exception that LINUX
can not locate the Future Domain TMC 840 SCSI device. I have attempted
to use the boot option tmc8xx= but I am unsure of the memory address.
Because LINUX can not find the SCSI device, install stops with the
message

Kernel panic: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on 0b:00
Kernel panic: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on 08:02
(The first message is when I do not use tmc8xx=0xc0000)

Running the install from a floppy yields similar results.

I am in need of someone who knows how to install the TMC 840.
Having read SCSI-HOWTO, I know that I need to run debug at the place
where the board lives to get hex and ASCII, upon which someone with much
more expertise than myself can provide the proper boot options necessary
to install this CD-ROM SCSI device under LINUX.

1) I am not able to find the address where the TMC 840 lives. It is not
xc8000, this is where the HD BIOS resides.

2) What is the proper boot option that I need to complete the
installation of LINUX from the CD-ROM.

I would greatly appreciate any assistance!
TIA
