Hello,
I have recently purchased a Buslogic 956C Wide SCSI controller,
Fujitsu M1606S 1 GIG hard drive and a Sanyo CRD-256H SCSI CD-Rom
drive. Here's the rundown of my problems:
Buslogic card (or is it the drive) will not talk to hard drive and
cdrom.
So, upon calling Buslogic, I find out that it isn't a controller
problem, but a hard disk and cdrom problem.
Next, I call Fujitsu, and it seems that it is a controller chipset
problem. Then, Sanyo says that its a timing problem.

And on, and on, and on.
Finally Buslogic sends me a BIOS upgrade that sorta fixed the problem.
Now I can see the cdrom (or at least I used to beable to), and the
hard drive. Once I get the boot disk for linux Slackware 3.0.0 to
recognize them both, I create the partitions, and try to start a swap
partition (even though I have 32 Megs of Ram). Once again,
SCSI I/O error: sector 156043, etc ,etc ,etc.
Rebooting only compounds the problems. So, finally, I have decided to
return the harddrive and cdrom and keep the Buslogic card. Am I doing
the right thing or just waiting to see the same problem when I get
another harddrive and cdrom?
Help!
Thanks,
