The kernel log Jeff Wilson included in his message is almost exactly what
I'm getting with an Adaptec 152x and Sony cdu540 drive.

Only difference is that my boot partition is on an ide drive, so the CD
(only device on the SCSI) is a load device and nolonger listed in fstab. A
mount command eventually returns the following error:

	mount -r -t iso9660 /dev/scd0 /mnt (and variations the format)
	wrong fs or bad superblock

I haven't rebuilt the Slackware kernel, only used the installation packages
available on teh net and on CD, such as InfoMagic's. The kernel seems to
ahve been built ~4 Apr 1995. The following line is in lilo.conf:

	linux aha152x=0x140,11,7,0 (also tried 0x140,11,7,1)

Does this particular cd drive have something in it's rom which linux and/or
the 152x just don't like? It is an old drive, but the entire system
configuration works fine under MS-DOS and Windows.
