I have an ASUS PCI system with 3 ASUS SC200 (NCR 53c810) controllers
and 6 IBM 2GB SCSI disks (2 on each controller). I'm seeing a very
strange problem... every single one of the disks was giving I/O errors
on sectors above roughly 3000. I have tried 1.2.x kernels with the
rel4 NCR driver as well as 1.3.32 with the rel11 NCR driver. At first
I was running 1.3.32+NCRrel11 and would get I/O errors in syslog
(sample attached) when running "badblocks". So I dropped back to
1.2.12 to see what would happen, and it completely hung the system
when badblocks got to (about?) the same area that previously reported
I/O errors. Then I went back to 1.3.32 and now I'm not getting I/O
errors anymore, but badblocks lists every block beyond one near 3000
as bad. It's not exactly the same block for each of the different
disks. Anyone have any ideas?

Here is a relevant section of the syslog...
