It might be some problem with the Conner1060S disks. Some versions
of the microcode with the cache algorithm was faulty together with
Linux ext2fs. Mine was... I had v1.66, I don't remeber the other 
versions number right now. Call Conner, they will help you.
There is a note in the SCSI-HOWTO(or hardware) about this. Check
it out.
It is some kind of flashram so it's easy to update the disks.
