You might want to check out

and see if the longer than specification RESET settling time
mentioned for Yamaha CRW4416 is still present in CRW4416S, etc..
In the above page, the maintainer of tmscsim driver suggests that
the driver be modified to cope with this longer than the spec
settling time.
