Hi Jason,
I got EXACTLY the same problem; the messages are the same as on my
system. All I can say is, that I followed Doug Ledford to apply the latest
patch for aic7xxx-driver (you can read a few messages above) - but that
wasn't the solution.
To add: I got a SMP-machine with (now) 1 GB RAM and three U2W-cards; two of
them are running without any problems, the third has got errors.
The system locks, I got messages in the warn-file like "kmalloc of to large
a block (xxxxx kB)", the same messages you got, data is corrupted and so
on.
I am looking for a soltuion but still don't know where to search for
it: I changed the card (thought it was a defect), changed the disks from
one controller to the other but the problem still remains.
I use 2.0.36 kernel with the Ledford-patch, an Asus P2B-DS and two AHA2940
U2W with five IBM-disks on each card. I would be happy if anybody has an
idea or a solution.
