We just got a multi host channel raid box from Raid Inc. It's a nice box.
We'd like to use its multiple host channel options for high availability
reason. I've basically had it up and run with both host, but of course I
have a large amount of problems mainly due to ext2's lack of locking, etc.
This is already figured on.

From what I hear, a journaling filesystem is the key to these problems and
rumor has it that the next version of ext2, forget what it's going to be
called, extn3 or something like that. Anyway, if someone could point me
to maybe some alternatives that are currently in working order (doesn't
have to be perfect :-) ), or something on the recent developments of
putting journaling capabilities into ext2. I guess Steven Tweedie at
Red Hat is doing most of the devel?

Thanks
-jeremy
