I recently added an ISP1040 scsi/ultra scsi controller with two disks in my
system and tried to configure them under Redhat 5.2.
Linux identifies incorrectly my card as an ISP1020 and when I mount the disks,
I obtain random error messages scrolling on the screen like "scsi time out",
"idle tasks may not sleep"... And I have to reboot my computer...
Well, I read the entire scsi-howto and saw that the paragraph about Qlogic
cards had not been written yet. I searched the web for driver/updates or
patches but found none... If anyone knows how to configure this card and make
it work properly under Linux, please assist!
Regards.
