How to change the firmware name of my SCSI device?

Hi all!

Sorry if this question sounds stupid, but I never programmed something 
using SCSI. Perhaps this is very easy for one of you.

What I would like to do is just changing the firmware name of my SCSI 
CD-RW. At the moment I have a "CD-Rewritable 2x2x6" device that should be 
renamed in "Philips CDD3600 CD-R/RW", if I scan my SCSI bus. Can anybody 
tell me how this could be done (if it is possible ;-)?
