Another way is to use a terminating converter (from 68 to 50). The company
I work for had to design its own active terminator for that purpose (don't
ask, it's only sold with our RAID boxes for a specific customer).

Most of the converters on the market (at least all we opened) do bizarre
things such as connect directly to ground, or badly terminate.
