I believe the board is quite Intel-specific (the boot BIOS is
for Intel only, I don't think you will be able to boot off the board).
On the other hand, it should work as a standard scsi controller once linux
is loaded (perhaps booted from a MESH device first?). The Linux driver
even claims to have PowerPC endian architecture.
