I'm trying to install Linux on a maxtor 520Mb scsi drive using an iomega
jaz jet pci bus host adapter in a gateway 2000 computer. I'm installing
from a Linux Pro 4.1a cd-rom (wgs) which is kernel 1.2.13, I believe. I
don't see any options in the install program for my adapter type, and when
I boot linux from the cd-rom I get "0 scsi hosts detected" and a kernel
panic. Does anyone know whether this hardware is supported, and if so,
where I can find information necessary to use this adapter? This may be
off topic, but the install configuration file automatically gets written to
drive c:, but I want to install linux on drive d:--the scsi drive.
TIA
