If you are getting alpha based linux machine and you wish to
boot from the SCSI card you're getting, it almost certainly
will have to be a Symbios based (NCR53c8XX) or a Qlogic
card (ISP1040- ISP1020's have a hard time in some Alphas).
Last I checked neither SRM nor ARC grokked anything else.
