I recently bought a used Adaptec 2842VL. Unfortunately, I
can't get it to work with Linux. When the driver scans the
bus for SCSI devices, I get an "Invalid operand: 0000" error
followed by the system dying. If I read the register dump
I get correctly, the crash is in the aic7xxx_isr routine (the
register dump says EIP is 0010:001957c0, which System.map
places between 00194b00 aic7xxx_isr and 00195e70 aic7xxx_probe).
