I need some urgent help on trying to get a server up and running that a
client has given me.
System
PII 333
128Meg SDRAM
Dual Pentium M/B 440LX with AIC7880 built in.
Problem
When using Slackware 3.5.0 boot disk with support for AIC7xxx
the host is detected correctly and configured but I get the
following errors.
SCSI bus is being reset for host 0 channel 0.
SCSI host 0 abort (pid 0) timed out - resetting.
(scsi0:0:0:0) Device reset, Message buffer in use
SCSI host 0 channel 0 reset (pid 0) timed out - trying harder
This is repeated over and over and over again.
I should mention that the SCSIselect options are all defaulted.
I tried with the 'Initiate Sync Negotiation' off and it then detected the
Quantum SE8.4S drive but then locked up as soon as it did.
ANY help would be greatly appreciated even if it is just to a reference
page.
Darren
