Hi all:

I am looking for sugestions on a SCSI drive/controller combination that
will give me the highest sustained transfer rate. I have heard the IBM
Ultrastar 9LP will give a 15MB/sec sustained transfer rate. Has anyone
had any experience with this animal? What about the 9ZX(17MB/sec STR),
any users? I know these are available in both Ultra and Ultra-2. Is
there an Ultra-2 controller that has a stable driver yet (I know the
adaptec 7890 update to the aic7XXX driver is being tested but I am
waiting on a kind-of final for it)?

I am trying to avoid going to a RAID system but will if I have to (it
would be RAID 0 since speed is our only concern).

Any thoughts or ramblings would be welcome.

Thanks,
Eric
