I can't beleave that nobody expirienced this problem...:-0

I have (or better to say had) RedHat 4.2 ... installed properly on
Altair (Intel Dual Pentium platform) with integraded Adaptec 2940 (AIC 7870
wich is Wide but not Ultra).
So I decided to upgarde to RedHat 5.1 everything seems to be Okay
RedHat CD booted ... after a few minutes of copying packages it hags,
because of timeout ... it tries to reset scsi bus but this doesn't make any
sens
so my Upgarde process hangs ...
I have no IDE devices at all ;-).
And following SCSI Conf
Device SCSI id Mount (System)
hdd DEC 0	DOS
hdd SEAGATE Barrcuda 2	/ (linux) /var, /usr
hdd QUANTUM 3	/home
cd TOSHIBA 5	/cdrom

Does anybody knows why this happens?
Any help or suggestions are welcome!!!!
Thanx in advance... I want my system back;)
