SCSI card support

I'm guessing this is a lost casue, but I figured I'd check, just in case.
Anyway, I presently have 2 scsi cards, both with the same chip on them,
and both received second hand because the original owners didn't need
them. The chips are labeled DTCT-436. They both came as part of a
scanner package. I've tried kernel 2.1.108, but it doesn't look like
support for this chip has been developed yet. Is this due to no one
having one, or just that these cards are so worthless as to not warrant
support? If I can get one of these working, it would be nice, but am
ready to bite the bullet and get a real scsi card.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Joe
