Hello all,
since some week ago I get scsi resets on the scsi channel driven by an adaptec
aic7xxx (approx. one per day). About the same time I upgraded the kernel to
2.0.34, so my guess it has to do with the kernel upgarde.
As the generic scsi interface has been changed and the scsi channel is
recognized correctly now as channel 2 from the cdrecord program which uses the
generic scsi interface, I don't want to switch back to the old, broken driver.
So my question is now: Is there a stable aic7xxx driver available at the moment
?
As the machine is heavily used as server I don't want to install experimental
code on it. The driver in 2.0.35 seems also to be unstable according to the
mails in linux-kernel and linux-scsi.
Below are the output of /proc/scsi/scsi and /proc/scsi/aic7xxx/2.
Thanks for any help and your work.
Greetings
Hermann
