Hardware: K6/233, ASUS mobo, NCR 53C815 based SCSI controller "genuine
Symbios" (or so they told me), the only disk is an IBM DCAS. Nothing
is configured out of spec.

When I try to boot vanilla 2.1.108, the SCSI driver resets the bus,
then shows a message "ncr53c8xx_abort" something, and the system
hangs. This when booted with the "safe" parameter too.

Replacing the driver, version 3.0e, with the one from 2.1.106, which
is version 2.5f, works.
