Mount LILO on the ATA (IDE) drive and use it to select which O/S to boot,
Linux or Windows. You may need to recompile Linux to include support for
SCSI host adapter in order to be able to configure LILO to do this, but in
the actual boot process you will be using the ROM drivers on the host adapter.
I suggest that you read the LILO documentation for details of this. Of
course you probably need a PostScript printer or GhostScript to do that,
but it does give a very good description of the generic boot process.
Another possible way to do this is to use IBM OS/2 Boot Manager (included
with several disk utility products) as the primary boot manager. Again, it
would be mounted on the ATA disk. I use NT and Linux, with only SCSI disks.
I use Boot Manager on the first SCSI disk as the primary boot manager, and
LILO in the boot record of my Linux partition on the drive dedicated to
Linux as a secondary boot manager.
